SAT Preparation
At Commonwealth, we know the SAT is a test that brings fear to a lot of students. With our 10-week program (compressed if necessary), we help students pinpoint their trouble spots, and offer valuable test-taking hints and time-management skills. This is a big test, but with the proper preparation, the SAT portion of the college admissions process can be handled successfully.
We use the Official SAT Study Guide(TM) published by the College Board as the basis of our curriculum. Many have asked why we don't generate our own curriculum, but over our years of taking tests for school, work, certifications, etc, we've found the best way to study is to know the Source Material. The College Board writes the tests, so it makes sense to utilize their SAT practice problems to guide our program.
* Also coming in Fall 2011, we will be publishing our comprehensive manual of explanations for all of the answers to all 10 practice tests in the the Official SAT Study Guide, 2nd Edition (TM). The book is perfect for organizing SAT study; however, it does not include explanations for the answers. We fill that gap, and our explanations are easy to understand.
